Building on a Legacy

In 1937, George Nicholas had a vision.  A true pioneer in the turkey industry, he began developing breeding stock in the hills around Sonoma, California, the Valley of the Moon.  George was proud of his turkeys and he had his “Nicholas” signature stamped on each egg before it was shipped to the customer.  This stamp and “Bred in the Valley of the Moon” were developed into the company logo, which became a symbol of excellence in the turkey industry.
Today this legacy continues through Valley of the Moon Commercial Poults.  We have the same commitment to excellence that George Nicholas started in the Sonoma Valley over seventy years ago.  We are proud to provide Nicholas commercial turkeys from our hatchery in Osceola, Iowa.
